should you hide the realities of sex from kids?

i was talking with my bf and he thinks that not only should you not tell kids what sex is, but you should also shield them from it, he says that it will ruin their childhood.

i think that there is an age where you can begin to discuss sex with kids but i don't think that sex should clearly be hidden.

what do you think?

You should talk to children about sex. They're going to find out anyway and nowaday earlier than ever. Let them know the correct things about sex from that right person and not their friends. You'll be helping them in the long run to make the correct decisions.
